CPCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry

Before stepping onto a construction site in Australia, all workers must complete general construction induction training—commonly known as the White Card. This course is a mandatory requirement for anyone starting work in the construction industry or those needing to replace a lost or expired White Card.

Our CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry course provides essential knowledge of workplace health and safety (WHS) laws, personal awareness, and risk management principles to ensure safe work practices and injury prevention for yourself and others.

Course Overview

Throughout the training, you will learn how to:
✔ Identify and report common construction hazards
✔ Understand and apply basic risk control measures
✔ Follow procedures for responding to incidents and emergencies
✔ Correctly select and wear personal protective equipment (PPE)

This nationally recognized course ensures you gain the fundamental safety skills and knowledge required to work confidently in the construction industry.

Entry Requirements

To undertake this course with Allens Training Pty Ltd, participants must:
✅ Be 14 years or older (proof of age required)
✅ Have a valid working email address
✅ Provide current and valid identification, including photographic ID (an Evidence of Identification Checklist will be provided upon enrolment)
✅ Have the physical capacity to correctly don and remove PPE for assessment
✅ Be a resident of Queensland, as this course must be delivered within the state

Upon successful completion, participants will receive a White Card, allowing them to commence work on construction sites across Australia.
